The Greater Baltimore Chapter of the Association for Women in Science (AWIS) is excited to announce our fun Summer event! Join us at Checkerspot Brewery on June 28th for casual talks from two brilliant local female scientist on their fascinating work:

  • "Turn Your Nasty into your Nazte: the Evolution of Nazte Beauty, LLC"- Savanah L. Saldaña-Shumaker, M.S., Co-Founder & Co-Owner of Nazte Beauty, LLC
  • Can Sharks Help Us Fight Human Disease?" - Helen Dooley, Assistant Professor at University of Maryland School of Medicine, Institute of Marine & Environmental Technology will give a talk titled

Come learn about some of the amazing work being done in the Baltimore area and network with other women in STEM! Don’t miss this exciting event and the chance to meet and connect with other local women in STEM to kick off the summer season!

Entry is free of charge. The first 20 guests will enjoy a free drink ticket. This event is open to both AWIS members and non-members. Non-binary and gender non-confirming folks are encouraged to attend.
