The AWIS-SD Academia 2 Industry (A2i) Coffee Club is an informal gathering for women in academia who are interested in transitioning to an industry career. Meetings will be held online using the Zoom platform.

About our guest speaker:

Sabah Ul-Hasan is a Senior Scientist in the Bioinformatics team at Hologic Inc. Sabah previously completed a postdoctoral fellow at Scripps Research, and possesses a doctorate in Quantitative & Systems Biology that focused on venom microbiomes. Outside of science, Sabah co-leads a skate group for queer folks of color in the greater area of San Diego. Most importantly, Sabah is focused on being a kind person while maintaining inner peace as these tend to be intertwined with doing good research as well as contributing to an enjoyable work environment.
