The Philadelphia chapter will host Susan Lindee, PhD, Janice and Julian Bers Professor of History and Sociology of Science, Department of History and Sociology of Science, University of PA. Dr. Lindee’s talk will explore the experiences of Marie Curie and other women including the physicist Lise Meitner, the environmentalist Rachel Carson, and some scientific couples including Marie and Antoine Lavoisier, and Carl and Gerty Cori.
